In order to realize the aspiration of the Egyptian state to develop south upper Egypt, by investing in its potential fortunes and abilities, to recognize regional balance and equity in distributing its sources and services.

Aswan cement factory was founded as a beginning of huge projects to develop upper Egypt desert.

Medcom Aswan cement factory come to complete our mission, and to form a distinct and unique experience. the location of the project was selected based on three important factors.

First: selecting the location in the farthest south of Aswan, so as to explore its numerous constituents, most important of which is the availability of raw materials needed for manufacturing high quality cement. Therefore, the existence of natural resources paved the way for new investments in the area and put the basis for a huge industrial zone to realize the ambitions of the governorate.

Second :realizing  self-sufficiency of cement for neighboring governorates, and the national projects in Toshka, activating development  policies and enabling  new job opportunities depending on the productive abilities  of the factory , which thrive the commercial and marketing  transportation , and develop the transport, networks as well as the supporting services.

Third: reinforcement of the stares export policy by exploiting the closeness of the factory location to the borders of African states, especially Sudan.
