The Medcom Aswan Cement Factory is considered one of the most prominent industrial fortresses in southern Egypt. Located strategically at Km 110 Aswan / Abu Simbel Road in Aswan Governorate, it is built on a massive area of one million square meters.
The factory acts as a vital hub to meet the basic building material needs of Upper Egypt and the Toshka region, in addition to exporting to Sudan since 2009.
The factory was designed and equipped with the latest machinery, kilns, and advanced European technology to ensure continuous and stable production, in strict adherence to the highest standards of occupational health, safety, and environmental protection.
The factory's production capacity is approximately 750,000 tons per year of Portland cement.
An electrical substation was built, fed by high voltage from the High Dam 220 KV line, equipped with two Czech-made transformers of 25 MVA each to ensure stable operational power.
Production of CEM I (42.5 N) cement grade is carried out in accordance with Egyptian (ES 4756-1/2022) and European (BS EN 197-1/2011) standards under the brands: Aswan, Abu Simbel, and High Dam.
